Huawei contributes Rs 7 cr to PM-CARES fund, six states for India’s battle against coronavirus
NEW DELHI: Chinese telecom gear maker Huawei said that it has donated Rs 7 crore towards the PM-CARES fund and directly to six other states to support the fight against the COVID-19 or coronavirus pandemic in the country.
Huawei had recently offered to share with Indian authorities technological solutions such as remote temperature monitoring to help contain the spread of Covid-19.
Jay Chen, Huawei India CEO, had then told ET, “We are working on solutions to apply our learnings and experience from China to the current situation in India and help combat Covid-19 with new technology such as remote temperature monitoring.”
