Share market update: Telecom shares dip; RCom slumps 5%

NEW DELHI: Telecom shares were trading lower in Monday’s afternoon session.

Shares of Reliance Communications (down 5 per cent), ITI (down 2.68 per cent), Aksh Optifibre (down 2.55 per cent) and Bharti Infratel (down 2.42 per cent) were the worst performers in the index.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (down 1.93 per cent), Tejas Networks (down 1.71 per cent), GTL (down 1.56 per cent) and Himachal Futuristic Communications (down 0.88 per cent) too were trading in the red.
