10 cyber criminals arrested in Giridih

As many as 10 cyber criminals were arrested by a team of Giridih’s police’s cyber cell on Tuesday. The criminals were arrested within limits of Pachamba, Chakai and Bengabad police station areas in the district.

Police seized 16 mobile phones, 9 bank passbooks, 31 SIM cards, 9 ATM cards, and cash worth Rs 3,79,500 from them, said Dy SP Sandeep Suman.

The arrested persons have been identified as Zaved Hussain, Pujwal Saw, Bharat Mandal, Sarju Mandal, Hublal Mandal, Lutan Mandal, Vilash Mandal and Laxam Mandal.While two were identified as juveniles.The arrested cyber criminals made serial vishing calls by impersonating a doctor and they used to download anganwadi worker’s datafrom the ministry of women and child development website.
