Transparency in MNP

Trai has issued a new consultation paper on mobile number portability (MNP) which seeks to give major responsibility in the MNP process to MNP service provider (MNP-SP). It has framed questions for stakeholders’ feedback (see box-A). The move comes after Trai found that both the Donor and Recipient Operators are interested parties.
