Service Tax on Auctioned Spectrum

DoT: Service Tax on upfront payment of 25% of bid amount shall depress auction price. On the other hand, availability of Service Tax payable on assignment of spectrum as input tax credit (ITC) for discharge of service tax on output services of telcos, shall not result in any revenue gain to the Government.
