Samsung to launch world’s first 5G smartphone, Galaxy S10 5G, on April 5

NEW DELHI: After launching the first foldable smartphone in the form of Galaxy Fold, South Korean technology giant Samsung is looking forward to be first to launch a 5G Android smartphone. Samsung has confirmed that it launching the flagship Galaxy S10 5G in its home country on April 5. Samsung is also expected to launch the Galaxy S10 5G in the US in April too. The Galaxy S10 5G will be available with Verizon initially and the telco has confirmed that it will roll out its 5G on April 11 in the US. There is a possibility that the Galaxy S10 5G could be launched on the same day in the US.
South Korea and the United States are set to be the first countries in the world to get 5G networks and connectivity. As far as India is concerned, there is no official word as to when 5G network rollout would happen and it is expected that India might get 5G by 2021. Having said that, smartphone brands might launch 5G phones in India this year itself. Huawei has already confirmed that it is going to launch its foldable 5G phone–the Mate X– in India later this year.
