Rs 1,600 cr WiFi Scam

CSC E-Governance Services India Ltd (CSC EGov), a so called government owned company, in which MeitY holds just one share out of total 345,110, is getting orders after orders from Bharat Broadband Network Ltd (BBNL), for rolling out USO funded WiFi projects at Gram Panchayats (GPs). CSC EGov in turn awards the contracts to private parties known as ‘Service Centre Agency’ (SCA) without any tender, which were pre-selected a decade ago.
