Rs 1,000 cr NFS GST Scam

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has sent a proposal for the “information and further necessary instructions” of the department of telecommunications (DoT) for passing on over Rs 1,000 crore illegitimate favour to seven contractors of the NFS project, which is being funded by the Universal Service Obligation (USO) Fund. Initially, BSNL revised all the seven orders making them GST compliant without any additional financial burden to the government, but for some unknown reason, it has now taken a u-turn in the matter.
