Ransomware attacks

On Friday, May 12, 2017, more than 200,000 computers in hospitals, IT organizations, railway station networks, ATMs and even universities across 150 countries, including India had been severely affected by the WannaCrypt ransomware worm also popularly called Wcry. This is the biggest ransomware attack in recorded history.
