North East USO Fund Scandal

The telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has created a single-vendor situation in favour of Rajiv Mehrotra’s Vihaan Networks Ltd (VNL) by inserting a Preferred Market Access (PMA) clause in a tender being invited by the USO Fund for providing telecom services in uncovered villages and along the National Highways in the North Eastern states of the country where there is no existing mobile coverage.
