Net Telephony

Legally, Internet Telephony has been allowed in India for the last several years, precisely, since 2008. There is no ambiguity about this in the UAS and CMT licenses issued earlier and Unified (AS) licenses issued from 2013 by the government. Then one wonders, why is there no such service in the country? The reason is simple. The three big operators – Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone – are refusing to provide interconnectivity for Internet Telephony.
