On Sep 30, 2018 California Governor Jerry Brown signed the nation’s toughest net neutrality Act called “California Internet Consumer Protection and Net Neutrality Act of 2018 that will be made effective from Jan 1, 2019. It prohibits internet providers from blocking or slowing data based on content or from favoring websites or video streams from companies that pay extra.
