National Electronics Policy 2019

The government has approved ‘National Electronics Policy 2019’ to position India as a global hub for Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM). The policy promotes domestic manufacturing and export in the entire value-chain of ESDM and targets a turnover of $400 billion by 2025. This will include targeted production of 100 cr mobile handsets by 2025, valued at $190 billion (Rs 1,300,000 cr), including 60 cr mobile handsets valued at $110 billion (Rs 700,000 cr) for export.
