MTNL posts Rs 731 cr Q2 loss

MTNL has posted a loss of Rs 731 cr in the second quarter ended September 2017 compared to a loss of Rs 768 cr reported in the same period a year ago. This reduction in loss is mainly on account of reduction in employee’s remuneration and benefits. The employees remuneration and benefits, which accounts for about 70-80 pc of MTNL’s total income, reduced to Rs 623 cr in the reported quarter from Rs 699 cr a year ago.
