Land given for IT incubation centre at MSU in Nellai

Tirunelveli: The Software Technology Park of India (STPI), a central government establishment under the union ministry of electronics and information technology, is to set up 28 more centres of excellence all through the country by collaborative means, said the director general of STPI, Omkar Rai.

Addressing students and industry people through video conferencing mode during the handing over of 3.5 acres to set up a STPI-IT incubation centre within the Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU) campus on Thursday, the STPI director general said that the Software Technology Park of India, apart from serving the IT industry, has shifted its focus on accelerating and creating new IT industries by involving educational institutions like MSU, so as to motivate students to become better entrepreneurs.
