Genpact rolls out upskilling initiative, looks to harness collective intelligence of employees

Bengaluru: Employees across global professional services firm Genpact will now be part of a new upskilling framework – ‘Genome’, which will deliver customised learning and development opportunities designed to make their skills relevant in a rapidly changing business environment.

The programme will help identify ‘experts’ across the company – employees who have skills and knowledge others need, but may not be necessarily hierarchically higher than others. It will then leverage these experts to make learning more relevant, and help their peers put those learnings into practice by working on actual projects and assignments.

“We’ve combined learning science with new operating models derived from MIT’s Center for Collective Intelligence work, and Genome is specifically designed to help employees collectively harness the knowledge they need in an increasingly digital world,” Gianni Giacomelli, chief innovation leader of the company, told ET.
