E & V Bands

In a departure from the current sentiments of allocating spectrum or any natural resources through auction, the DoT has decided to allocate spectrum in the E & V bands to telecom service providers without any charge. The infamous First Come First Served (FCFS) regime was not preferred and instead the DoT chose to buy silence of all the operators by giving everyone free spectrum. Now, every operator can get about 500 MHz (250 MHz in each band) for backhaul and indoor & outdoor access
