E-labeling

Mobile phone makers can now indicate its registration number and Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) trademark in digital labels on phones. Earlier, the ministry of electronics & IT, under the Compulsory Registration Scheme, had asked the handset manufacturers to put physical labels of registration numbers and BIS approval mark on the body of handset.
