Cabinet decides SUC rates

On August 3, 2016, the cabinet approved the rates for Spectrum Usage Charge (SUC) which shall be applicable for all the operators who secure spectrum in the forthcoming auction. Going by the Telecom Commission’s recommendations of July 25, 2016, the cabinet decided that the “spectrum acquired in forthcoming auction in 700, 800, 900, 1800, 2100, 2300 & 2500 MHz bands is to be charged at the rate of 3 per cent of Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) excluding the revenue from wire-line services”.
