BSNL is buying 2G

When most of the leading Indian telecom operators are focusing on 4G rollouts, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) is in the process of buying 2G system in large numbers. Last year it invited bids for procuring 3.10 crore mobile connections, out of which 58.88 pc is 2G, 36.28 pc is 3G and just 4.83 pc is 4G.
