BSNL corruption

BSNL’s Broadband modem procurement is a scam. The senior officers of the state telco have depleted company’s finances and benefited the private vendor – Supernet Infocom Pvt Ltd aka Teracom. This has been done by paying more for Teracom products. During 2011 to 2013, Teracom Ltd supplied Broadband modems for Rs 742.94 each. However, in 2014 and 2015 BSNL purchased the same modems from the same company for Rs 1,316 each. The product was the same. What had changed was the price, a price differential of Rs 573.06 per modem, and the name of the company to Supernet Infocom Pvt Ltd from Teracom Infosolutions Pvt Ltd.
