Billionaire WhatsApp co-founder tells students to delete their Facebook accounts, again

WhatsApp, the instant messaging app that is now owned by Facebook is one of the most used apps around the globe. It is also one of the few Facebook apps that is known for its end-to-end encryption. Now, Brian Acton, the co-founder of WhatsApp is asking students to delete their accounts from Facebook.
As reported by the Buzzfeed news, guest speaker Acton talked about the issue at Stanford University last week during the ‘Computer Science 181’ undergraduate course along with another former Facebook employee Ellora Israni. Israni is also the founder of She++.
For Facebook, Acton said that big tech companies are still struggling to moderate the content they show on their platforms. He adds that these companies are also not even equipped to make these decisions. “And we give them the power.
