Apple fans, these two companies may power your 5G iPhone

Following the settlement between Apple and Qualcomm, it is being alleged that the iPhone maker will source the 5G baseband chips from the latter. However Qualcomm is not going to be the sole supplier as it is being suggested that Apple will also partner Samsung for the same.
According to Apple tipster and former KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi-Kuo (via Mac rumours), Apple will use both Samsung’s and Qualcomm’s 5G chips. As per Kuo, Apple will diversify for suppliers as that reduces risk and gives the company bargaining power thereby reducing the costs.
Kuo has alleged that the 5G iPhones will ship by the second half of 2020 and the analyst has also predicted that 195-200 million iPhones to be shipped in 2020.
