3G & 4G BTS count

A statement made by the telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad in the Parliament reveals that as on February 29, 2016 Reliance Jio has established as many as 125,606 numbers of 4G BTS. It is a massive build-up compared to its rivals – Airtel’s 24,960, Idea’s 8,861 and Vodafone’s 3,884. BSNL has not rolled out any 4G BTS, whereas MTNL has recently surrendered its 4G spectrum.
