2 days after 6-month ban, Karnataka minister tweets Ola back in business

Barely two days after the Karnataka Transport department suspended the licence of online cab aggregator Ola for six months in Bengaluru, it has been allowed to run its businesses as usual from today.

Priyank Kharge, Karnataka’s minister for social welfare, tweeted saying that Ola “will run their business as usual”.

“@Olacabs will run their business as usual from today. However there is an urgent need for policies to catch-up with new technologies & also industries too should work closer with Govt to help evolve policies for innovations,” Kharge wrote.
